<title><![CDATA[Tassimo my way 2: Stupid me used a strange branded decalc powder now my coffee is crap]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased  a cheap but cheerful kitchen utensil descaling concoction, with the intention of sating the alarming “Calc“ signal on my Tassimo My Way Two coffee machine. I drew little assurance from its initial appearance but I was to be convinced of it efficacy by the apparent  positivity inherent in the written instructions on the side of its cardboard carton,  seemingly appropriate for the decalcifying of a standard coffee machine.</p>

<p><em>“Wash it out three times”</em></p>

<p>it advised so as to remove all trace of the solution from the machine after adding it at a rate of one sachet to two hundred millilitres of water. This I proceeded to do. Sadly the first coffee I made after following the guidelines from the powder’s manufacturer was utterly dreadful. Curses, thought I, to myself. I was more than a little surprised and somewhat nauseated with the tainted brew I had just sipped. Mindful of this, I rinsed out the machine in the method as given by Bosch, the makers of the My Way Two machine, with copious amounts of fresh water. Well, I was yet again drinking very sour, unpalatable Coffee. Horrid and a waste to boot.</p>

<p>As no answers were forthcoming after I posted my dilemma on the Tassimo forum, I just carried on sluicing the machine until <em>normality</em> was resumed. Rather more than the</p>

<p><em>“Wash it out three times“</em></p>

<p>that I was assured would be enough to clean out the decalcifying solution.</p>
