Introduction

Follow the steps below to brew a great cup of coffee.

  1. Turn your Tassimo machine on and make sure it has sufficient water in the water tank. When ready, the Stand-by icon will light up. Place a suitable cup on the stand, according to the type of drink you will be brewing. If necessary remove the cup stand.

You haven't told the use to plug in the machine to the mains before switching it on- or is it battery operated?

The steps are not logically ordered or phrased well - you should tell the user to fill the water tank is filled before switching on the machine. "if necessary remove the cap stand"? - Do you mean - if your cup is too big to fit remove the cup stand or is there some other necessary reason - don't make the user guess be concise and explicit in your phrasing?

People read left to right - so the emphasis should be on the instructions not on the individual large pictures - The format is more artsy than useable. Put the instruction on the left and reduce the size of the contextual photos

But more importantly get an experienced technical writer to design,

Thanks for your interest in our Tassimo guides, Paul. Please note these guides are wikis, so you're welcome to revise/update as you see fit. However, be sure your changes are appropriate. Refer to our Tassimo setup guide which instructs you to plug in and clean your Tassimo before using. Also, it's not imperative that the Tassimo is off when you refill its water tank. It simply needs sufficient water before starting to brew. With regards to your comment about "if necessary remove the cap stand": actually, it does say 'cup stand,' and just before that bullet, it reads, "place a suitable cup on the stand, according to the type of drink you will be brewing." I presume people understand that if their cups are too large, the stand will need to be removed, but please feel free to change that if you think it's not clear. Last of all, Dozuki guides are media-rich. They do not aim to be artsy, but rather use hi-res images to show users how the actions they are performing will look.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. Can you explain this to me, they look correct (and I have the coffee maker). But, maybe I don't understand.
